Christian Barcodes was formed after coming to find out that a barcode is needed on an album in order to sell it in a bookstore. Basically, you need a record label! So unless you sign a deal with a label or buy a legal code for $750.00, it's hard to get anywhere in that regard.

Now it's true that you don't need a barcode to put your music on the Internet. And if you sign a deal with a seller, they will provide the code.

So do it yourself! There are two things you cannot do without; a legal barcode, and a record label. We give you a barcode from a record label and we don't own your music. 

Remember, you don't need a barcode from ANYBODY to sell music, but it sure helps and makes your CD look more professional. 

It's up to you. When you have a barcode and a label, you can sell your CD's for whatever you want and we never take a penny from your profits.
This is a Christian company and we mean to act like one.
 

Very simple rules. In order to be considered a "Christian" I believe that you must agree that Jesus Christ is Lord of all, is God, and rose from the dead. Whether you really are a Born Again follower of Jesus Christ is between you and God and not for us to judge. Your album need not be a "Super spiritual Christianized" album as long as the artist is a Christian. Christian Barcodes is for "Christian Music", as much as it is for "Christian Artists". However, we do have a form that states that there are no offensive or abusive lyrics. I suspect there will be a few artists who may successfully slide some things by me, which may be unfortunate. If you have an album with anti-Christian or vulgar lyrics, please pursue another record company!
